Tagaytay and Taal in the Philippines

I had the pleasure of visiting the city of Tagaytay and Taal volcano in the Philippines recently. Taal volcano is located in the southern part of Luzon in the Philippines. It is about 50km from the capital, Manila. Right in the center of the island is the main crater that holds a sulfuric lake. It is famous for having an island in a lake on an island in a lake on an island in the Pacific Ocean.


Great weather (much much cooler than Manila), great food (bone marrow soup), great hide-aways (Bag of Beans - highly receommended), and of course a Starbucks situated on top of the hill over looking Taal.

The Serenity Prayer .. on my mind this week!

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
